Michelle joined Pierce & Shearer’s San Mateo office in November 2005. She is a Bay Area native and earned her B.A. degree at the University of California, Berkeley. After graduation, Michelle worked in the financial services industry prior to earning her J.D. at the University of San Francisco.
Before joining Pierce & Shearer, Michelle was an associate at The Goldman Law Firm. She practices primarily in the area of employment law, focusing on wage and hour, sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination disputes. Michelle also advises clients on all aspects of the employer/employee relationship, including implementing wage and hour compliance, terminations, compensation issues, and navigating the law with respect to employee leaves.
Prior to earning her J.D., Michelle gained extensive experience in the employment law arena, including work at Advance Legal Advocacy Group, the Stanford Community Law Clinic, the Law Offices of Gina DeVito, and the East Palo Alto Community Law Project.
Michelle resides in San Francisco, California with her husband.
