Miles grew up in Lassen County in northeastern California, and attended college at San Francisco State University and law school at University of San Francisco School of Law. The first year of his career was spent working on energy and administrative law, before transitioning to civil litigation for the last two years. His civil litigation experience has included working on behalf of both plaintiffs, doing personal injury work, and defendants, representing general contractors in construction defect litigation. As a volunteer he is a member of the Golden Gate Electric Vehicle Association, and the Local Clean Energy Alliance in the East Bay. He joined Pierce and Shearer in March 2021, and lives in San Francisco.
