Youchen grew up in the East Bay and stayed in California for his undergraduate studies before heading to Ann Arbor, Michigan for law school.
Upon graduation, he returned to California and started practicing law as a Staff Attorney with the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles ("LAFLA"). At LAFLA, Youchen developed expertise in various areas of law including labor and employment, bankruptcy, consumer law, disability law, and governmental regulations. Youchen's litigation experience includes several trial victories, appellate wins, and countless settlements in favor of his clients. In 2016, Youchen moved to Washington D.C. where he worked as an attorney with the U.S. Department of Education, focusing on federal regulation and policy and various areas of consumer law. After spending two years in D.C., Youchen returned to the Bay Area and joined Pierce & Shearer LLP to continuing advocating for his clients and the residents of his home state. |
